The Outpost Church began as a video venue of the Neighborhood Church of Redding.  This was so others might learn from the teachings of Pastor Bill Giovannetti.  As the fellowship grew, the church moved to the Trinity Movie Theater, then the Weaverville Elementary School and later to its present site at the Trinity Alps Performing Arts Center.  In October of 2012, The Outpost began the process of becoming an independent church in fellowship with the Christian and Missionary Alliance.  This goal was reached in April of 2013.

Along with the Sunday Worship, The Outpost offers several small group Bible Studies for adults as well as children and youth.
